BELLEMODA Makeup & Beauty Lounge has recently started a weekly basic makeup workshop with Kagay-anon makeup artist and the establishment's owner Liane Bastareche, teaching the participants personal makeup lessons.
Held at the said shop located at the second floor of Cagayan Town Center, Capt. Vicente Roa, corner Luna Street, Cagayan de Oro City, the workshop is slated every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The registration fee of P1,500 includes lunch and certificate. Everything the participants need are provided except for the foundation, concealer and lipstick.
"It's a basic makeup workshop for personal makeup, like for your daily makeup and how you really apply it. Like unsaon siya properly na pag apply na mas easy siya na mas dali (Like how to properly apply that is fast and easy). It's basically a corrective makeup, like para lang ma enhance ang imohang face (to enhance your face). Not to change your face but to enhance," Liane Bastareche said.
"Ang akong gina teach is at least man lang how to really apply it sa imong own face shape, imong own eye shape, imong own skin tone, imong own skin type. Among ginatudlo sa ila is how to identify their own face," she added.
A maximum of five participants per batch attended the workshop, with the first batch on February 16 and the second on February 23.
"Five lang ang akong gusto kay gusto ko nga at least matutukan nako sila og maayo. Ako gyud ang gahimo sa module para mas easier nga masabtan," Bastareche said.
"Kasagaran man gyud nga gaapil, except sa mga makeup artists na daan, kanang wala gyud silay hanaw sa makeup like wala sila kabalo unsay tawag ani. So tanan i-explain nako, unsay lain-lain nga mga products," she added.
After receiving several inquiries from interested makeup enthusiasts, not just in Cagayan de Oro but also those from Butuan and Iligan City, Bastareche is planning on having the workshop twice a week with the other day slated on Wednesday to cater those who prefer the weekdays instead of during the weekend.
Another plan in the works is having a master class for professional makeup lessons wherein the participants, who already underwent personal basic makeup will be taught how to apply makeup to other people.
"Daghan man gyud dapat i-consider if lahi na nga tao ang imong applyan like how you should be as a makeup artist, how to be professional like in terms of hygiene, representation of yourself, being hygenic labi na sa gamit," Bastareche said.
"Naga-plan pa mi ana kay amo lang sa padaghanun ang maka avail sa basic makeup. Lisod man gyud mag makeup sa other people if di ka kabalo sa imong self," she added.
Those interested to attend the basic makeup workshop will have to choose which Saturday they prefer and should at least notify Bellemoda for scheduling at least a week before the preferred date.
