HAVING a beauty routine is something time-consuming, exhausting and a hassle to some people, especially for those who doesn't fuss much about how they look.
But to others, the entire process is necessary to stay fresh and make them look good at all times, which is something that boosts their confidence and gives them good vibes.
Beauty is one of the important attributes in a pageant. For those who aspire to become a beauty queen, they give their hundred and one percent effort into searching for a skin care routine that works for them as it is one of the essential aspects that can get them in the pageant.
Luckily for aspiring beauty queens, reigning Miss Cagayan de Oro 2018 Mary Chris Suico shared her secrets to enhance your inner beauty.
Suico confessed that before she joined Miss Cagayan de Oro, she was not that invested in skin care routine.
"Before I joined this pageant, wala talaga, hindi talaga ako nag skin care routine sa face ko, but when I joined this pageant I learned that kailangan talaga natin mag invest sa skin or even sa face man lang kasi it is our crowning glory in a way," Suico said.
According to Suico, there were days before her reign when she and the other candidates for Miss CDO 2018 wore makeup for the whole duration of the day.
And as one of the major sponsors of the pageant, the twelve hopefuls used the products of Beauty Wise, which became an integral part of their beauty routine, especially to Suico.
Cleanse. Before going to bed, Suico said she washes her face with Beauty Wise's Kojic acid soap with Bearberry Extract, lightening and anti-aging agent that effectively exfoliates skin, removes dead skin cells, excess oil and dirt.
Aside from using it at night, she also uses it in the morning.
Toner. After washing her face with the Kojic soap, the beauty queen applies the rejuvenating toner, which removes dead skin cells, brightens skin and lightens sunspots and post-acne marks over time.
Night cream. After applying the toner, Suico also uses the rejuvenating cream, a night cream that helps lighten skin and stimulate collagen production. It also improves skin texture and firmness while sleeping leaving skin look firmer and radiant.
Day cream. In the morning, after washing her face, Suico said she also uses the day cream which is also a sunblock.
"Kasi pag nagto-toner ka, medyo sensitive yung skin mo sa sun. So good thing with Beauty Wise, they have this morning sunblock that you can use all day," Suico said.
Bleaching cream. She also applies the bleaching cream to brighten her skin and even out skin tone. It also helps lighten natural dark skin and other skin problems such as freckles, age spots, acne scars and discoloration related to hormones.
"[I'm] not using it in my whole body but just to even the have this uneven skin tone because I really have that. So it's really effective," Suico said.
Crowned Miss Cagayan de Oro 2018 Mary Chris Suico has recently entered in an endorsement deal with the JNJ Beauty Essentials, the beauty and skin care company that established the Beauty Wise brand.
