THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro reported Wednesday, March 17, 11 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, all of which are local transmissions, health officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said.
This brought the total number of confirmed Covid-19 infections in the city to 3,962.
Nery said of the 11 new local cases, eight are local cases with link, two are local index cases, and one local authorized person outside residence (Apor).
Of the 3,962 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 423 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,539 cases are local transmissions.
According to Nery, the 3,539 local cases consist of 186 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 1,897 local index cases and 1,455 local cases with link.
Cagayan de Oro has recorded 151 active cases, 53 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 97 are outpatients, and one ROF.
The city also registered 10 new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,623, with a 91.44 percent recovery rate.
Of the figure, 302 are LSIs, 119 are ROFs, and 3,202 are local cases (community: 2,706; Apors: 496).
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is at 188.
