THE two rescuers from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department (CDRRMD), who were among those who responded during the vehicular incident involving the 21-year-old man with coronavirus disease (Covid-19) tested negative for the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, May 12.
City Health Office (CHO) Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya said monitoring of the close family relatives of the 21-year-old man continues, although he added that all of them did not show any unusual signs or symptoms of the virus.
"Ang friends nga kauban sa maong disgrasya ato na silang gipang graduate sa ilahang 14-day quarantine period (His friends who were with him during the accident have been released from their 14-day quarantine period)," Retuya said.
The watchers, however, have not yet completed their quarantine period.
Close contacts of all Covid-19 confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro City, from barangays Camaman-an, Lumbia and Carmen, are all placed in the city isolation units.
Meanwhile, the CHO, from March 14 to May 11, has recorded a total of 505 persons who were in close contact with Covid-19 suspect cases admitted in various hospitals in Cagayan de Oro.
Of the 505 individuals, 106 are being monitored and still ongoing their 14-day quarantine.
CHO officer-in-charge Dr. Lorraine Nery said as of Tuesday, May 12, all 106 individuals were reported asymptomatic.
