CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno is allocating some P772 million for the operation of three hospitals in the city in 2020.

Data from the city council press briefer showed that P772.55 million from the total P7.5 billion 2020 budget proposal is allotted for the operation of the JR Borja General Hospital and new Cagayan de Oro City Hospitals in barangays Lumbia and Tablon.

Over P73.41 million will be allocated to the City Hospital in Lumbia and another P103.12 million for the City Hospital in Tablon.

Meanwhile, JR Borja Hospital will get P576 million next year.

The two city hospitals are still non-operational but the city hopes to open them next year.

On Monday, the city council constituted the committee of the whole to deliberate the 2020 budget.

The city council will suspend all committee meetings for the duration of the marathon budget hearings slated this month.
