ASPIRING government workers flocked the Civil Service Commission (CSC)-Northern Mindanao office in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City as the deadline for the filing of application for CSC exams ends on Friday, December 27, 2019.
The commission said the deadline for application is only until Friday as they already reached the maximum number of examiners.
The Career Service Examination Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) in both the Professional and Sub-professional levels is set on March 15, 2020.
"Wala nay January. Puno na ang slot, pero gi-continue lang namo taman December 27 kay luoy sad tung uban," a CSC personnel said on Thursday.
(There is no more filing on January since the slots are full. But we continued the filing on December 27 so that others can also partake in the exam.)
Even with the scorching heat, an applicant said she will finish the process as it is the only day she is free due to work duty constraint.
"Karon lang ko available tas ga-online review lang pud ko in preparation sa March exam. I also followed a Youtuber na ga-teach pud about sa Civil Service [exam]," she added.
(This is my only available time and I also reviewed online in preparation for the March exam. I also followed a Youtuber who teaches about the Civil Service exam.)
Applicants are advised to come with complete requirements and to bring water and food in case the filing of application would take longer than expected.
They are also required to accomplish an application form that they can either download online or directly get at the CSC office in Carmen.
Four identical passport-sized photos recently taken are required, as well as the original and photocopy of a valid ID not expired upon filing of application.
Examination fee is at P500 for the CSE-PPT and P680 for the CSC Computerized Examination (Comex).
