CAGAYAN de Oro City Administrator Teodoro Sabuga-a said Thursday, April 16, that residents will not need to visit their respective village halls as the barangay exit pass will be distributed per family on a house-to-house basis.
The distribution, Sabuga-a said, is expected to begin as soon as the over 200,000 barangay exit passes are printed.
"Karong adlawa (Thursday) nagsugod na ta og printa sa atong barangay exit pass kutob sa mahuman nga barangay kay per barangay man, diretso na daun ni sya delivery didto sa barangay para nga ang barangay diretso na sya mag house-to-house," Sabuga-a said.
The barangay exit pass can be used starting Monday, April 20, he added.
On the same day, the City Government also released a set of guidelines in the implementation of the barangay exit pass.
According to the guidelines, the barangay exit pass can be used by any member of the family, excluding seniors, especially those with health conditions, those who are immunocompromised or with co-morbidities, and pregnant women.
In the case of a senior citizen who is living alone, the individual will be issued a barangay exit pass.
Any person using the exit pass must wear a face mask, pursuant to the "Face Mask Wearing Ordinance."
The pass, which is free and not for sale, cannot be used during curfew hours. It also contains the name of the barangay, control number, RF code, and signature of the concerned punong barangay and the city mayor.
Employees reporting to work are only required to present their respective employment identification cards to the concerned officials/personnel or the Homeowners Association representative, duly authorized by the barangay.
