City aims to vaccinate 1,594 community-based health workers

THE City Health Office is targeting a total of 1,594 community-based frontline healthcare workers to get their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, health officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said.

According to Nery, of the said figure, 280 are medical personnel of the City Health Office, 880 are barangay health workers, 259 are barangay nutrition scholars, and 175 are community development volunteers.

"Nagsugod na ang para sa atong mga TTMF (Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility) nato nga mga frontliners nga gipangbakunahan. Sunod na dayon ang sa CHO (City Health Office)," Nery said.

The simulation exercise for the vaccination of City Health Office personnel began on Monday, March 15, in coordination with the Department of Health.

The simulation drill is in preparation for the vaccination of community based frontline healthcare workers, which include City Health Office personnel and healthcare staff from health centers, Nery said.
