CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno said their team will focus on helping second district congressional candidate Alam Lim in the remaining weeks of the campaign period.
While he was encouraged by the survey results of Xavier University, Moreno said victory can only be achieved if all of their candidates win.
"Ganahan ta modaog ta pero mas hingpit ang kadaogan kung modaog tanan ang kaabag para wala nay babag (We want to win but we also want alll of our team mates to win). While we are encouraged, we also need to exert more effort para diritso gyud, straight gyud ang tanan (to achieve straight vote). Otherwise, sayang ang oras, sige lang unya debate, walay mahimo (time will be wasted, no actions, just debates)," he said.
"We want nga kaabag ang tanan pati ang duha ka kongresista (We want our congressional candidates to win)," Moreno added.
Moreno said he also believes that statistics have already changed, considering that the survey was conducted earlier.
"The survey was done early in the month, so now, over the past several weeks and in the remaining weeks, our campaign efforts will further intensify . Our drive is to include all, no one should be left behind," he added.
Lim, in the survey, only garnered about 19.4 percent while his strongest rival former congressman Rufus Rodriguez got 59.2 percent of the votes.
