IN A bid to effectively implement the stay at home policy in Cagayan de Oro, Mayor Oscar Moreno on Tuesday, April 14, directed all barangays to adopt and implement the barangay exit pass policy.
In his Executive Order (EO) 62, Moreno ordered the implementation of barangay exit pass regulation in the city to further limit the threat of Covid-19 transmission.
Moreno also directed all barangays to stop requiring any other clearances or passes apart from the barangay exit pass.
The barangays are also reminded the barangays that only the City Government can issue a Quarantine Completion Certificate.
According to the EO, employees reporting to work are only required to present their respective employment identification cards to the concerned barangay officials/personnel or the Homeowners Association representatives, duly authorized by the barangay.
Residents who require urgent medical attention, on the other hand, are allowed to leave their homes without the need of securing a Barangay Exit Pass.
All barangays are also directed not to charge any fee or imposition for the issuance of the Barangay Exit Pass as the cost for the issuance of the said pass is shouldered fully by the City Government.
The executive order, according to Moreno, was created following the numerous reports of people gathering in sizable crowds at the barangays and other public places in the city.
