ONE of the three persons behind the "double-your-money" scam that was done through Facebook was arrested in Barangay 17, Cagayan de Oro City Wednesday, January 8.
Police identified the suspect as Pablito Pagaspas, 40, one of those behind the Facebook scam that solicits investment of P1,000 from Facebook users and promises double returns in just a span of 10 days.
Police arrested Pagaspas by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Henry Damasing of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24 on November 18, 2019.
Damasing also ordered the arrest of Antonnette Sestoso and Kim Pagaspas, both accused of estafa. The two are still at large.
The court sets the bail for each of the accused at P60,000.
Last year, several people who fell victims to the scam trooped to the National Bureau of Investigation to file a complaint against more or less 10 suspects operating the scam.
