CAGAYAN de Oro's Task Force Hapsay Kable will be replicated in other cities' campaign to remove dangling wires and clean up streets in their areas.
This was revealed by National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) regional director Teodoro Buenavista during the 2019 operational strategic planning meeting.
Buenavista said Makati City, Valencia City, Subic, and the Bicol region, Zamboanga City, Ipil, Zamboanga, and Iligan City all asked for copies of the City Ordinance No. 121230-2011 and Executive Order No. 173-2017 providing for the implementing rules and regulations of the campaign.
They also asked for the chronological events of the task force, executive briefer, and other important information of the task force Hapsay Kable.
The Hapsay Kable's accomplishment is at 64.17 percent in their target areas which include Osmena street, Pabayo street, and Corrales Avenue.
Buenavista said this is an indicator that their campaign is gaining traction and proving to be effective.
Task Force Hapsay Kable, headed by City Mayor Oscar Moreno and co-chaired by Buenavista and Lao, was formed to "re-groom" Cagayan de Oro and become a "smart city" through clean-up of sagging, inactive or abandoned wires and cables throughout the city.
The group has partnered with local telecommunication companies as well as the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company to particularly facilitate the replacement of their old, brittle, and heavier posts.
