GUEST teams CDO Blue Eagles and Nestlé Philippines hope to hitch a ride for the quarterfinals round when the 2018 Ballpals Inter-Color tourney resumes here on Saturday afternoon at the NHA covered court in Barangay Kauswagan.
The Blue Eagles, fronted by Julius Mejos, the bull-strong Gomez and veteran center Acaylar, surprised Team Bongmerk in one of their previous matches. While the Nestlé dribblers continue to struggle minus their reliable center Jojo Mahistrado who's still reeling from a minor shoulder injury.
Both the Blue Eagles and Nestlé teams want to make an impact in the last phase of the tourney's double elimination round. But here's the catch. No guest team yet has succeeded to rule the annually-held Ballpals hoopfest.
The fame Green CdeO Eagles, the Auto Planet and the Patag-based Tropa ballclubs were among those that tried their best to break the time-tested Ballpals' winning tradition-- but failed.
"Actually, though sige'g ka peldi ang Nestlé sa elimination, kini sila ang pinaka dangerous nga makasulod sa playoff round," said acting club president Weng Mercado, hinting that the Nestlé dribblers are capable to dominate the organic Ballpals teams with the towering Mahistrado back in good playing condition.
