

CEBU - Three persons who are facing criminal cases surrendered on Monday, May 7, to the police in Tuburan, Cebu.
Superintendent Melbert Glade Esguerra, Tuburan police chief, identified them as Melquiades Pepito Deniega, 48; Jumor Luyao Talaugon, 36; and Gerasmo Montebon, 53.
Esguerra said the persons came to police station after he posted a public announcement on social media, calling all Tuburanons with cases to surrender.
Deniega is facing forestry code violation, while Talaugon has pending physical injuries case. Both offenses are bailable.
For his part, Montebon was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. He was released after he showed a dismissal order of the case.
Esguerra said they will go after persons with pending warrants of arrest as they need to face their cases and administer justice to the victims. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
