SIX senior high school students were caught by authorities smoking weed (marijuana leaves) at the back of the Cebu City Sports Center, about 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 13.
According to Abellana Police Chief Inspector Ma. Theresa Macatangay, a concerned citizen called to report the pot session.
Upon reaching the area, police caught the students still smoking marijuana.
"Even if we were far away, we can smell the stink of the marijuana from the distance," the police officer, said.
One of the minors said that they were on their lunch break when they decided to smoke marijuana.
"Wala mi kahibaw nganong gihimo to namo," he said.
The police said three Grade 12 students are aged 18 with one aged 19, and two minors are Grade 11.
Macatangay has spoken with the parents to explain the charges that will be filed against their children. (JOB/VoxPop Cebu)
