

THE husband of the vice mayor of Clarin, Bohol, was shot dead inside his resort in Barangay Bacani on Sunday afternoon, September 2.
Police identified the victim as Ricardo Aparicio, the husband of Clarin Vice Mayor Velden Aparicio.
Police Officer 2 Genesis Piezas of Clarin Police Station said Ricardo was talking to an employee of the resort around 5 p.m. when a man, believed to be in his 20's, went running inside the property and started shooting at the victim.
Ricardo was hit on his neck, face, and chest, resulting in his instantaenous death.
Investigators recovered eight empty shells of a caliber 45 pistol.
The gunman fled using a getaway motorcycle after the incident.
Piezas said that they are looking into the angle that the victim may have been killed because he was believed to run for mayor in 2019 elections.
"Possible motive pa na namo. Wa pa mi gatuldok ana," he said. (JOB)
