INCUMBENT Liga ng mga Barangay (LNB) Cebu Province chapter president Celestino "Tining" Martinez III and his group will be running unopposed during next week's LNB elections.
With no one challenging him for LNB leadership, Martinez, who is the current Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) president of Bogo City, will stay on as ex-officio member of the Cebu Provincial Board for the next three years.
Aside from Martinez, also running unopposed is Samboan ABC president and former town mayor Raymond Joseph Calderon, who is the former's running mate.
Also running unopposed is San Francisco, Camotes ABC president Nerisa Arquillano for LNB Cebu chapter auditor.
While running as board of directors for Martinez and Calderon is City of Naga ABC president Scott Juvenal Chiong, Talisay City ABC president Marietta Bucao, Argao ABC president Guillermo "Jun" Caminero Jr., Boljoon ABC president Joie Genesse Derama, Tuburan ABC president Wilfredo Diamante, Dumanjug ABC president Vicente Fernandez and Alegria ABC president Joseph Redula.
The LNB Cebu chapter elections will be held at the Cebu Provincial Capitol on Monday. (JKV/VoxPop Cebu)
