A MAN was shot dead in front of his family in Barangay Apas, Cebu City, Monday night, September 10.

The victim was identified as Eliseo Devilleres, 34, a driver of Natalie tourist bus who is from the town of Consolacion.

According to initial reports, Devilleres was on his way to a birthday party at his boss's house with his partner Lorena Zamora and their four-year-old son when the suspect suddenly arrived on a motorcycle and shot Devilleres twice.

Zamora said her partner had received death threats when he left his former employer, another bus company based in Jagobiao, Mandaue.

Zamora added that they filed a blotter report about the threat in Consolacion.

The police officers of Mabolo Police Station are now conducting a manhunt operation after learning that one of Devilleres' former workmates was waiting for them on a corner. They believe he was tasked to do the hit on Devilleres. (JOB/Arnold Bustamante)
