A 30-YEAR-OLD suspected drug personality was shot dead past 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, in Barangay Don Gregorio Antigua, Borbon town, Cebu.

The fatality was identified as Ernesto Briones Pogado, a motorcycle-for-hire driver and resident of Barangay Poblacion, Tabogon town, Cebu.

Police Officer 2 Rogelio Sinadjan, desk officer, said the investigator found a gunshot wound in the chest. He said they are still investigating the motive behind the attack, which could be related to the victim's alleged involvement in illegal drug trade.

The gunman, who covered his face with a shirt, was riding on a motorcycle. His cohort, the lookout, was on a separate motorbike.

Before he was shot, Pogado was sitting on his parked motorcycle near other drivers.

The assailant arrived and shot Pogado thrice. Afterwards, he fled with his cohort.
