MORE Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023 bets in Central Visayas have been asked to explain for allegedly campaigning ahead of the scheduled campaign period.
In Mandaue City, 50 election-related complaints, such as premature posting of campaign materials, claims of perpetuating political dynasties and presence of nuisance candidates, were sent to Comelec’s Central Office in Manila.
The Comelec 7 has issued a show cause order to five more BSKE candidates in Central Visayas, based on the data Comelec sent to VoxPop Cebu on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023.
The number is in addition to the first five candidates who have been earlier flagged by Comelec for allegedly committing the same offense.
Out of the ten show cause orders (SCO) issued, two were sent to BSKE candidates in Bohol, another two to candidates in Negros Oriental, and five were sent to BSKE candidates in Cebu.
