A POLICE medico-legal team was deployed to help the forensic team of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Central Visayas in identifying some unidentified fatalities in the landslide in Barangay Tina-an, City of Naga, Cebu.

Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas Director Debold Sinas said on Wednesday, September 26, that the task of the Regional Crime Laboratory Office personnel is to assist the NBI-Central Visayas, which is the lead agency in the disaster victims identification.

Sinas also sent personnel to assist the missing persons desk, managed by the Naga City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management. He said the search teams have shifted to retrieval operations as they believe there is no more signs of life in the landslide site. (KAL)
