THE Cebu Provincial Police Office (CCPO) is now looking into a drug lord who was operated upon by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent Von Rian Tecson.
CPPO Director Manuel Abrugena said they will coordinate with the PDEA as they geared for the creation of a special investigation task group (SITG).
"In an initial statement of SPO1 Von Ian Tecson, he told us that his brother received death threats from a drug lord the latter operated on," Abrugena said.
He also said that they already have leads as to which hospitals in Cebu the gunman was rushed to after he was wounded in the shooting incident Wednesday, August 8, in Carcar City.
"According to witnesses, the gunman was wounded and he was taken by a maroon Pajero. That's why the chiefs of police of Carcar and Naga are now tracing the hospitals that the gunman may have been brought to," he said.
PDEA-Central Visayas Director Wardley Getalla said they will give the case folders of the operations conducted by Tecson.
"We will coordinate with the police because it's possible that this is work related," Getalla said. (JOB/VoxPop Philippines)
