THE brother of Juniel Abatayo, one of the two murdered men in Barangay Camp 8, Toledo City, implied that the police did the killings last Thursday morning, October 25.
In his Facebook account, Junie Abatayo wrote: "Basta tinoud hitaboa inyo gepatay ako maguwang sa campo 8 sa walay klarong sala. Guba akong pagkatao. Mga pulis man unta mo gipangsaligan sa batas pero inyong gebuhat di mao. cge lang pinangga kay ko na ako igsoun sweto ko ana niya gilang basta lang. Wan-ay ayo mga balaod ron."
The bullet-riddled bodies of Juniel, 29, and Abelardo Salomag, 44, were found in Camp 8.
Police Regional Office 7 Director Debold Sinas denied the police were involved in the murders.
Toledo City Police Chief Randy Korret said the victims were involved in stealing motorcycles and illegal drugs.
Commission on Human Rights 7 chief investigator Leo Villarino said they will possibly conduct an investigation on the murders.
Early this week, Juniel and Salomag were arrested for stealing a motorcycle in Lapu-Lapu City.
They had been released from detention after their victim refused to file a complaint. (KAL)
