INDONESIA -- Cebuana olympian Mary Joy Tabal finished 11th in the Asian Games women's marathon on Sunday morning, August 26, in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Tabal, who hailed from Barangay Guba, Cebu City, believes she finished strong in the Asian Games with a time of two hours, 51 minutes and 41 seconds.
In a Twitter post of the Philippine Sports Commission, Tabal said she is looking forward to the 2019 Manila Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and qualifying for Tokyo 2020.
Meanwhile, Bahrain's Rose Chelimo won the women's marathon with a time of two hours, 34 minutes and 52 seconds. (VoxPop Philippines)
