UNDER the national police’s intensified directive, the Police Regional Office (PRO) Davao apprehended 63 wanted persons from January 13 to 19, 2025.
PRO-Davao Region Spokesperson Police Major Catherine Dela Rey said the mandate from higher authorities accelerated the serving of warrants for individuals with pending court cases.
Each police station in the region has fast-tracked warrant service, especially when leads on fugitives' whereabouts are received.
During this period, PRO-Davao carried out 73 operations, resulting in the arrest of five Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) from regional, provincial, municipal, city, and station levels. Among those apprehended was Siwak Ocampo y Bagus, the Top 4 MWP in Sarangani Province, arrested for violating the Anti-Child Abuse Law and Rape.
Additionally, 18 other MWPs and 40 wanted individuals with multiple arrest warrants were also captured.
PRO-Davao said that these efforts reflect their commitment to resolving criminal cases and maintaining public safety. JPC
