DAVAO City’s Economic Enterprise (CEE) has surpassed its 2024 revenue goal, collecting P211 million, exceeding the P200 million target set for 2023.
CEE head Maximo Macalipes Jr. shared the achievement during the Madayaw Dabaw program, highlighting that P136.5 million came from market operations.
“We’ve exceeded 100 percent of our target collection for 2024, marking an excellent performance in reaching our income goal,” he said.
Since 2019, Bankerohan Public Market has remained the top performer, generating P60.72 million in 2024, followed by Agdao Public Market with P35.31 million.
CEE also organized 34 initiatives, including Bayanihan projects, preventive maintenance, peace and order efforts, sanitation drives, inspections, and food safety seminars. Other city operations, such as cemeteries and slaughterhouses, also contributed to revenue growth.
Macalipes credited the success to strong partnerships with other agencies and the support of Mayor Baste Duterte and City Administrator Atty. Francis Mark Layog.
“We truly feel their support,” he said, also recognizing the crucial role of Davao City residents in the achievement.
Meanwhile, the Davao City Business Bureau concluded the business permit renewal deadline on January 31, 2025, expecting around 49,000 taxpayers to renew their permits, aiming to reduce congestion and streamline the process. DEF
