DCPO seizes P1.4-M shabu, arrests high-value suspects

THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) arrested a high-value drug suspect and seized suspected shabu worth P1.4 million in a buy-bust operation early Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Purok 1 Hill Top, Barangay Langub. 

The suspect, identified as alias "Bai," 30, was apprehended by Ecoland Police Station officers.

On January 29, DCPO conducted four separate anti-drug operations, resulting in the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of shabu worth P1,509,736 based on standard market prices. 

The Bunawan Police Station confiscated shabu valued at P72,556, while the Calinan Police Station seized P37,060 worth of the substance. 

Ecoland Police Station also recovered a significant amount, estimated at P1,400,120.

“With the full support of the active community, which consistently provides information about individuals involved in illegal drugs, the DCPO team successfully conducted the following operations within just 24 hours, achieving positive results,” DCPO stated.

On January 27, the city’s top security agency arrested a 25-year-old suspect during a police operation that resulted in the seizure of suspected shabu worth over P3.4 million. 

The operation, led by Sasa Police Station officers, took place on Don Julian Street, Doña Pilar Village, Barangay Sasa. 

The suspect, identified as Jasper "Jay-Jay" (alias) from Baywave, Barangay Ilang, was apprehended after a thorough operation. Authorities confirmed the illegal drugs were valued at P3,427,816.

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) emphasized that this arrest is a significant step forward in their ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activities in the region. DEF
