THE Davao Travel Agencies Association, Inc. (DTAA) has announced exciting offers for travelers during the upcoming Davao Mega Travel Sale, which will feature discounted airfares for both domestic and international flights, cruises, and a variety of tour packages.
Scheduled for February 21-23 at Ayala Malls Abreeza in Bajada, Davao City, this year’s event is themed "Discover the Magic of Travel."
In a recent Habi at Kape Forum, DTAA President Gian Caguiat shared that the highly anticipated event, the largest of its kind in Mindanao, will host over 40 exhibitors, including major cruise lines, hotels, resorts, and travel agencies.
Caguiat excitedly revealed that there will be a diverse range of travel options offerings this year, highlighting that the event would showcase destinations across all seven continents. He also bared several new additions to the available tour packages, such as exclusive trips to Antarctica, European river cruises, tours to SaPa in Vietnam, and visits to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador.
The DTAA president said that travel agents aim to secure the most affordable and optimal routes for their customers, ensuring they receive expert guidance and value for money when booking their trips.
In addition to the wide array of domestic routes, which include Cebu, Tagbilaran, Puerto Princesa, and Manila, the sale will also offer international destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Doha, with airline partners like Scoot, Cebu Pacific, and Qatar Airways.
Cruise enthusiasts can explore offerings from North Star International Travel, Inc., Princess Cruises, and Royal Caribbean Cruises, while multiple travel agencies, such as Angelgarnet Travel, Aries Travel and Tours, and Borderline Travel and Tours, will present discounted travel packages to cater to various customer needs.
The organizers are optimistic about generating P20 million in revenue this year, aiming to exceed the P18 million they earned in 2024. DEF
