Estremera: Writing with the soul

I WAS finally able to stage a workshop I have been designing and tweaking for so long, and it went as I envisioned.

There were just four students, with one still to complete the second day because of prior schedules as we had to postpone the second-day session.

This is the synthesis of my more than 30 years of experience as a newspaper editor and information service provider and my transition as a Pranic healing and Arhatic Yoga practitioner.

It integrates my “secret” to writing when still a full-time journalist and the life lessons on the spiritual path.

To some, this might sound woo-woo. It’s not. My writing “secret” helped me do all the articles I wrote (many winning awards… hehehe!) amid the pressure of managing the newsroom, ensuring the best outputs from every member, and putting this information provider on top of the social media game.

Many would have been overwhelmed by the work that all require full focus and priority. Not when you know the “secret”.

Having learned Pranic healing and becoming an Arhatic Yoga practitioner and a Pranic healing educator after leaving the main event in 2018, I have since found how these integrate well with what I have been doing as my escape hatch when work becomes overwhelming.

Now, I’m sharing it with those who truly aspire to be writers, young and old. I thank the pioneering batch, who through their participation and keen interest showed me how to better

tweak and workshop — Amsy, Nona, Mommy Min, and Rovie. It was fun, by the way. It was made more fun because since the second day was postponed due to a family emergency, we decided to fit into Nona’s beach schedule the following week. It was a real working break.

Maybe I will aspire toward that, once I get this thing moving at full blast and students start pouring in.

Looking back through all those years that brought this workshop to becoming, I see an alignment of purpose and a clearer path for young and old writers to tap into the genius of their inner self. In this way, the work becomes easier and fun.

I will be holding another one very soon. Beam me up if you’re interested. In this world being dominated by artificial intelligence, the one that will put a crown on our ideas and reflections is our connection with our soul. In this country being ruled by avarice and abuse, what will put a salve on our molested consciousness is integrity and our connection to the Divine.

We always have a choice; we always have free will. We need not, and we must not allow our consciousness to be molested.
