Investigation continues in 4-vehicle collision in Toril

THE investigation conducted by the Traffic Section of the Toril Police Station is ongoing following a four-vehicle collision that occurred along McArthur Highway in Barangay Binugao, Davao City, shortly past 10 a.m. on May 1, 2025.

According to Davao City Police Office (DCPO) Spokesperson Police Captain Hazel Tuazon, the investigation continues to determine who was at fault in the incident.

As of press time, those injured in the accident were receiving treatment at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

Based on the DCPO’s report, vehicles involved in the accident were Suzuki Ertiga driven by alias Renan with his wife alias Jane, both residents of Malungon, Sarangani Province, a motorcycle driven by alias Rico from Mankilam, Tagum City, with passenger alias Kev, a Ford Ranger driven by alias Gian, a dentist from Davao City, and a Fuso Truck Cargo Dropside driven by alias Ed from Barangay Bato, Toril, Davao City.

Initial police investigation revealed that the Ford Ranger was heading toward Davao City when it encountered the truck crossing the road.

The truck hit the rear part of the Ford Ranger, making the latter lose control and crash into two vehicles in the opposite lane.

The passengers of the Ertiga and the motorcycle sustained injuries. JPC/JRN
