BEING a first time mom is never an easy task. There are no manuals to help them out. Sure, there are the grandparents and perhaps older siblings to help with the day to day taking care of the baby but at the end of the day, the mom herself is expected to do everything.
But fret not, mommies, we have asked our first-time mom friends like yourself to give tips that we hope will be helpful and inspirational in your own journey as well.

Every mom's experience is different. There is no cookie cutter experience. But there are plenty of similarities. Don't be pressured that another mom is doing it and you're not or she's doing something another way. Learn from best practices but don't beat yourself up if it does not work for you. Do not box yourself up because every child is unique and your experience is tailor-made for you.

The best thing about being a first time mom is you get to know yourself more. You suddenly realize that you can do things you've never imagined before. After a tough day at work, going home is such a reward because your baby is waiting for you. Iba ang sense of fulfillment!

Although we're struggling a lot and we don't know what to do sometimes, just look at your little ones and surely those worries and pain will be wiped away. Though, wala man tayong firsthand experience pero 'pag naging nanay ka na, kusa talagang lumalabas ang mga talents natin kaya bear it for a while and have that confidence. It will always be worth it.

If your little one is asleep you should also take some rest. Read some articles or books for you to know how to handle things during post-partum. Better equip yourself with knowledge. Do not overthink, momshies, because this will lead you to stress and discomfort and it may affect the development of your baby if you are breastfeeding. When your baby is about to cry, attend to his/her needs immediately because if you let him/her cry for a longer period, it will affect the future development.

Enjoy the journey! They will only be babies for a while and you will see right in front of your very eyes how time flies so fast, first they are this one day old, so tiny in your arms then next thing they're one year old, already biting you with their tiny teeth. And the most important thing, is to put your child first. No matter what happens. And also! Breastfeed. Promise.

It's so nerve-racking. I always liken it to a very important meeting you planned 9 months for and you can't screw it up! There is no "ctrl+Z" or "undo" button when it comes to raising a child but it will all be worth it just to see that toothless grin. The best thing about being a first time mom is watching your baby grow, reach all of his milestones, and knowing that you helped make that happen!
