TWO Davao Metro Shuttle buses clashed at Tiongco Village, Barangay Canocotan, Tagum City around 3:30 p.m., on Monday, October 8.
In an official statement by Davao Metro Shuttle, Bus 386 was heading to Tagum City when a motorcycle appeared coming from the village. The bus swerved to avoid hitting the motorcycle and crashed into Bus 53, which was passing at the opposite side of the road.
The injured was immediately brought to the hospital. The bus company assured that the health of the victims is their top priority.
"Hangyo pud mi sa katawhan na mutabang og ampo for their fast recovery (We also ask for prayers from the public for their fast recovery)," Davao Metro Shuttle said in its statement.
The bus company added that it is strict in terms of reminding its drivers that they should be cautious when driving. It added that they implement safety measures such as speed monitoring and seminars on proper driving and bus handling.
