TWO men died in a road accident in Purok 23, Mandaget in Barangay Calinan Proper, Davao City a few minutes after welcoming the New Year, the police reported.
In a police report, a road accident, where a motorcycle hit a man dancing in the middle of the street amid New Year revelries, occurred a few minutes after midnight on January 1, 2021. The two men did not survive the incident.
The motorcycle driver was identified as 21-year-old Joviemar Caybot, while the man dancing in the middle of the road was 60-year-old Raol Mandaget.
The incident was also caught on video, which was posted and had since trended on social media.
Both the fatalities allegedly consumed alcohol when the incident happened. (Jeepy P. Compio)
