TWO University of Mindanao (UM) graduates topped the recently-conducted Criminologist Licensure Exam (CLE) based on results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday, June 29.
Hana Jane Baritogo Franco from the UM–Digos College topped the list by garnering the highest rating of 90.90 percent while UM Tagum graduate Michelle Binosa Isaloc Langamon followed with 89.75 percent rating.
The UM main campus in Davao City got 89.01 percent passing rate with 170 passers out of 191 takers.
There were 7,307 takers for the CLE June 2018 and of this figure, 21,894 (33.37%) examinees passed the board exams held last June 10 to 12 in designated testing centers nationwide.
The PRC recorded a total of 33.37 percent overall passing rate for June 2018 CLE which is 2.30 percent lower than the most recent Criminologist board exam, conducted December 2017 having 35.67 percent overall passing rate.
Meanwhile, UM president Guillermo Torres Jr., on his Facebook post, congratulated the graduates who topped and passed the criminology exam. He also lauded the faculty and staff of the two UM campuses for a job well done.
"Proud of you, Tessie Miralles, Evelyn Saludes, Eldegina Israel, Milet Chavez," his Facebook post read.
He also reiterated the institution's vision in providing quality, affordable and open education for its students.
The PRC said that criminology board exam is held twice a year for aspiring law enforcers. The next exam for this year is set in December.
