Communist leader dared to undergo check-up with Duterte

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte's trusted aide challenged Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria Sison to return to the country and undergo a medical examination together with the chief executive.

Amid the controversy on the real status of the President's health where Sison joined the clamor for him to disclose his health condition, Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go assured that the President is completely healthy.

"Bago tayo ma-Joma muli ng balita, [or] ma-fake news, edi umuwi nalang siya dito sa Pilipinas, sabay nalang sila ni President Duteret tingnan natin kung sino ang mas malakas sa kanila at sino yong may clean bill of health," Go told reporters at the sidelines of the Kalivungan Festival in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato.

Sison earlier issued a statement urging the chief executive to undergo a medical test by independent medical experts.

"I challenge Duterte to submit himself to medical examination by the best independent diagnosticians of the Philippine General Hospital in order to establish whether he is physically and mentally fit for his position," Sison stated.

Go said the President is in tip-top condition and he is capable of finishing his term until 2022.

"In fact, nakita niyo naman sa mga speeches niya na umabot pa kami ng Jolo kahapon to visit the wounded soldiers and to boost their morale. Halos every month pumupunta kami ng dulo ng Mindanao para bisitahin yong mga sundalo," Go said.

Sison earlier claimed that the President was in coma but contrary to his statement, Go said that he was just resting on his "kama". Despite that, Sison insisted that Duterte remains ill.
