PERSONNEL of the Digos City Police Station arrested a policeman on Monday, July 30, wanted over a complaint filed by his wife, at Jose Abad Santos Street, Zone 3 in Digos City.
The policeman is identified as Police Officer 1 Al Camporedondo, 36, currently assigned at the Sulop Municipal Police Station in Davao del Sur and a resident of the province.
Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao Region spokesperson, said the suspect was nabbed in a manhunt operation conducted by Davao del Sur Provincial Police Office and Digos City police at 1:36 p.m.
Camporedondo is facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as The Anti-Violence against Woman and their Children Law, before the court in Digos City of the same province.
Driz said the wife of the suspect left him earlier and went home to Bicol Region without notice before filing a complaint against him.
The Regional Trial Court Branch 19 issued the arrest warrant.
Camporedondo has posted bail for his temporarily released amounting to P24,000. (ICT)
