A total of 800 slots for new policemen are up for grabs after the Police Regional Office in Davao Region (PRO 11) was given a recruitment quota to fill exclusively for the Public Safety Mobile Force this year in an effort to increase police visibility in fighting criminality.
PRO 11 spokesperson Police Chief Inspector Milgrce Driz said on Wednesday, June 6, that they are accepting applicants for vacant slots that were opened this year under the command memorandum circular from the higher headquarter.
In previous years, PRO 11 was usually given around 300 to 400 quota for new cops intended for the Public Safety Mobile Force. But with the change of security landscape in Davao City, they will now need additional forces.

We will also focus also in our anti-criminality campaign)," she said.
This will also fill up the vacancies as a result of retirement, resignation, attrition and even those who were kicked out from the service.

Walk-in applicants will not be entertained as they have to be registered online.
The applicants will be initially screened via their online registration and all successful applicants in Region 11 will be asked to report at PRO 11 Camp Quintin Mericido in Catitipan, Buhangin, Davao City on the date set by the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management for processing of required documents.
She said that their 20 percent quota for the female applicants had been completed already and they are encouraging male applicants to fill the post.
The expected assumption of office will be on September 16 this year.
For the required minimum qualifications of the applicant, he must be a citizen of the Philippines; a person of good moral character; must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP; must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution.
Applicants must also be eligible and had passed the Philippine National Police (PNP) Entrance of the National Police Commission, or RA No. 1080 (Bar and Board Examinations) or PD No. 907 (CS eligibility to College Honor Graduates).
Likewise, the applicants must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government and not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude.
Aspirants must also be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) with not more or less than five kilograms (5kg) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her weight, age, and sex; and must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than 30 years old.
Earlier this year, the increase in the monthly base pay for the PNP officers across all ranks have been approved after President Rodrigo Duterte signed Joint Resolution No. 1 authorizing the salary hike for the country's uniformed personnel. With this, the Police Officer 1 (PO1) will now receive P29,668, a 100 percent increase from the previous P14, 834 monthly basic pay.
