THE GMA Kapuso Foundation will hold a medical services caravan in Paquibato District, Davao City on September 6 and 7 to provide immediate mild operations to the residents.
Peace 911 focal person, lawyer Elisa Lapiña, said Paquibato District was identified as one of the poorest of the poor areas in Mindanao.
"We [Peace 911 and 16th Infantry Battalion] will be assisting the GMA Kapuso Foundation and their medical team," Lapiña said during a phone interview with VoxPop Davao on Thursday, August 30, adding that the team will be bringing with them their medical equipment.
Lapiña said that the organization will go directly to the Paquibato Hospital and will stay for two days to cater to the medical needs such as ECG, blood pressure, blood sugar test, and even minor surgeries to the residents of the area.
Peace 911 has been telling the public that Paquibato District is a safe place since several rebels reportedly surrendered and investors are already eyeing the place.
