HABITAT for Humanity Philippines unveiled its P50-million partnership with real estate firm Euro Towers during its 30th anniversary celebration at the Apo View Hotel Friday, September 28.
The P50-million grant from the property developer will be used for Habitat programs to build homes for the *marginalized and poor families in the next five years as part of Euro Towers' socialized housing compliance. In addition, these projects may be implemented in the cities where Euro Towers has current developments including Davao City.
Mike Meany (Habitat Philippines'Managing Director), . Joseph Scaria (Habitat for Humanity International's Director for Resource Development - Asia Pacific), Architect Bong Recio (Habitat Philippines' Board of Trustees Member), and Margie Moran-Floirendo (Habitat Philippines' Board of Trustees Member and Ambassador) joined Engr. Roy Estanislao, (Euro Towers' Director for Construction and Development Group), Grace De Leon, (Euro Towers' Head of Sales), Antonette Atienza, (Euro Towers' marketing head) and Evelyn Javier, (Euro Towers' Broker) in the ceremonial house building to express their commitment to the partnership.
Habitat Philippines also recognized Euro Towers, DMI Medical Supply, Inc., other donors and key partners for their continuous and generous efforts to support its programs in the past 30 years.
Melissa Avanceña Aradanas (Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, Deputy Secretary General), Bernard Al-ag (Davao City Vice Mayor), Jason John Joyce (Jose Abad Santos, Davao Oriental Vice Mayor), Klaus Doring, (Consulate Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Mindanao), Ely Syafitiri (General Republic of Indonesia) and Rowena Vida-Lisbona (Honorary Consul of the Royal Danish Consulate) were among the guests who attended the event.
