POLICE Superintendent Sebastian Sebastian officially assumed as the new officer-in-charge of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB)-Davao during a change of command at Camp Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City, on Thursday, August 23.
Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao spokesperson Police Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz said Sebastian replaced outgoing Force Commander Police Senior Superintendent Arnold Palomo. The latter will be assigned at Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division (R1).
Sebastian was formerly assigned at RMFB of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Soccsksargen, the same region where newly-installed PRO-Davao Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo C. Morales was previously assigned.
Morales, who officiated the ceremony commended the leadership of Palomo for his accomplishments in the campaign against insurgency, criminality and illegal drugs.
He likewise challenged Sebastian to live up to the expectations not only of the Philippine National Police (PNP) leadership but also of the whole community of the Davao region. His assignment in Davao Region will be more challenging considering being the residence of the President and has become the alternate seat of the government.
"Officers come and go. No matter who is in the position the maintenance of peace and order and the efficient performance of police work can only be done of fulfilled with the active support and cooperation of the community we vowed to serve," Morales said.
