DAVAO City Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag said they will wait for the Department of Interior and Local Governance (DILG) to choose the Association of Barangay Captains representative who will sit in the city council.
"The DILG will determine who will conduct necessary election because that is part of their job," Al-ag said.
He added that the incumbent officials will remain on their post until the next election.
"The person who will win in the next election for president, he/she will represent the barangay captains here in the council," he added.
Currently, Davao City Councilor January Duterte is ABC President and the representative of the barangays in the City Council. (KVC)
