Raid yields guns in farmer's house

A FARMER is facing charges before the court in North Cotabato province after various firearms and ammunition were found in his house in Barangay Gambudes, Arakan, North Cotabato.

Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 10591 or The Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition is Alex Mansugod Bunsoran, 45, a farmer, from Purok 3 in Barangay Gambudes.

A report obtained from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) showed that Bunsoran was arrested in a raid conducted by the Marilog Police Station, Davao City and the Arakan Municipal police through search warrant no. 198-2018 issued by Judge Arvin Sadiri Balagot, of the Regional Trial Court Branch 17 in Cotabato City under Region 12.

Confiscated from the house of Bunsoran were one hand grenade, improvised automatic rifle caliber .45, one long magazine loaded with live bullets, one caliber.45 silencer and other deadly weapons.

The suspect is currently detained at the Arakan Municipal Police Station.
