MAGUINDANAO del Sur Governor Bai Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu maintains a commanding lead in the latest Bangsamoro Citizens’ Poll, with 846 out of 1,137 respondents choosing her over rival Ali Midtimbang, who only saw a 1% increase despite the official endorsement of UBJP candidates by Malacañang and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).

The survey, conducted from April 9–12 with a ±2.9% margin of error, shows 74.4% are in favor of Mangudadatu while 23.6% of the respondents sided on Midtimbang.

Just 2% of voters remain undecided. The results reinforce Bai Mariam’s solid grassroots support amid growing public skepticism over national endorsements.

The timing of the survey coincides with a dramatic shift in national voter sentiment — where several PDP-Laban senatorial bets are now rising in rankings, while PFP-endorsed candidates under  Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas are slipping behind.

In neighboring Maguindanao del Norte, Team Agila also continues to widen the gap against Marcos-backed UBJP candidates.

Just last week, Bai Mariam also swept a separate survey, despite UBJP’s conflicting claims of allegiance to PDP-Laban while allegedly receiving full-support  from Marcos' political party.

Despite political noise and national endorsements, the voters in Maguindanao are clearly standing by leaders they trust on the ground. PR
