A SHOPLIFTING incident was reported at a store in Lanang, Barangay Pampanga, Davao City, on Sunday afternoon, December 15.
The suspect, identified as alias "Arnel," 51, a jobless resident of Lougemar Village, was apprehended after attempting to leave the store without paying the items he took.
According to a report from the Davao City Police Office, the incident occurred around 2:56 p.m. when the suspect was caught by the store supervisor as the former attempted to exit with a yellow plastic bag containing several items.

When asked to present a receipt for the items, the suspect failed to do so. The total value of the stolen goods was estimated at P1,667.35.
PMSg Roger C. Babao of Mobile 2543 responded promptly to the scene, where he arrested the suspect and later turned him over to the police station along with the recovered items for proper processing.
A case of theft is now being prepared against the suspect and will be filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office through an inquest proceeding. RGL
