THE city government of Panabo has extended the deadline for business permit renewal to February 14, 2025, following the approval of Resolution No. 11, Series of 2025 by the 9th City Council. The original deadline was set for January 20, 2025.
The extension comes after the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Section reported that, as of January 11, 2025, only 19 percent of Panabo’s 6,683 registered businesses—approximately 1,270—had successfully renewed their permits.
In response, the resolution emphasized the need to accommodate the remaining applicants to meet revenue collection targets for the year.
To facilitate the renewal process, the city has also extended the operation of the Business One-Stop Shop (Boss) at the Panabo City Hall Lobby. Boss provides a streamlined system for renewing permits and will remain open during extended hours, including weekends, until February 14, 2025.
Business owners are reminded to comply with the requirements, which include a certified list of employees, a fire safety inspection certificate, valid identification, a contract of lease (if applicable), and other supporting documents.
Panabo's local government unit (LGU) originally announced the registration and renewal period for business permits on January 2, 2025, urging businesses to process their applications early to ensure legal operations. This extension offers an opportunity for those who have yet to renew, ensuring continued compliance and smooth operations for businesses in Panabo. RGP
