CROCS Football Club (FC) grabbed two straight wins in the opening weekend of the 1st JT's Manukan 9-Aside Football Cup at the Azuela Cove in Lanang, Davao City recently.
The Crocs FC blanked Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC), 3-0, behind the heroics of Borla Borga who netted two goals in the fifth and 17th minutes of their game.
Crocs FC earlier stopped Tuloy FC, 2-0, as Azzi dela Peña scored in the eighth and 22nd minutes.
The RMC Davao United drew first blood by eking out a 3-0 win over Blackrose in the bootfest jointly presented by JT's Manukan Grille, Sports Amusement & Recreation Corporation (SparCorp) and Azuela Cove.
Gian Lucha, hailed best player of the game, secured goals in the eighth and 16th minutes while teammate Steve Palza followed it up with another goal in the 24th.
The Rovers 2, however, cruised past Blackrose FC via default.
Games will resume tomorrow pitting Montevista against RMC-DUFC (U15) at 1 p.m., South Shield vs Blackrose (U11) at 2 p.m., Black Rose vs DVO Strikers (U15) at 3 p.m. and Montevista vs Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (U15) at 4 p.m.
