CELSO Garcia's fiery form returned as he crowned himself Datba weekly tournament champion Tuesday evening at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
Garcia, with a handicap of 15, hit a total of 626 pinfalls after three games to go home with P600 cash prize.
Sonny Dimaano, meanwhile, struck for 598 pinfalls to bag the runner-up honors in the event, organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association, as qualifying for the monthly finals.
Dimaano, whose handicap is 18, settled for P300 in the nine-player bowlfest.
Similar games will resume on Saturday evening.
The Bowler of the Year tournament, which features the monthly champions of 2018, is set this weekend at the same venue and will not include the past weekly qualifying tournament champions this month.
