THE Davao Region girls team, who won the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) 3x3 National Finals recently in Manila, paid a courtesy visit to SBP regional director and board of trustee Glenn Escandor yesterday, May 31 at The Royal Mandaya Hotel V.I.P. Lounge.
Escandor together with SBP executive program officer Ronel Leuterio congratulated and thanked Marcilla Grace Dellosa, Ainos Queen Bacena, Fave Roxyl Lugasan, and Christie Bariquit and coach Marvin Ace Sencio for bringing the elusive crown, a first for the region.
Escandor said SBP's grassroots programs are reaping benefits considering the team that won came from the barangay qualifiers plus coached by a public high school teacher.
"More programs are planned for marginalized sectors like the public high schools and the barangays," he said.
