A STINGING pain on her knee did not stop Toril-based trackster Diana Mae Memoracion from clinching the women's 5K event of the Healthy Young Ones Fun Run, dubbed as Takbo Para sa Kalusugang Pangkabataan at the Azuela Cove in Lanang, Davao City last Sunday, November 11.

Memoracion, 20, and a freshman ICT student of Emar Human and Environmental College, clocked 23 minutes and 28 seconds in the Department of Health-organized race.

But she was not happy with her time.

"Tungod sa akong tuhod nagasakit jud. Kanang gusto nimo magkusog og dagan pero wala nako gipugos kay sakit kaayo basin musamot (My knee was really painful. It's like wanting to run faster but I did not push it as it might hurt more)," the multi-titled Memoracion said in a Facebook interview with VoxPop Davao.

She recalled that her best time in 5K was five minutes but that was registered several years ago.
