THE Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) jins harvested a total of nine gold medals and two silvers to emerge overall champion in the just-concluded Unit 5-Private School Athletic Association (Prisaa) 2018 Meet secondary taekwondo tournament held at RMC.
RMC's Laurence John Degoro, Jackie Albores, Daisyre Joyce Durado, Liannah Dela Peña, Janelle Claire Ibag, Hizam Pinto, Stephen Ralph Caminong, Jan Ellyze Delos Reyes, Alvin Cheider Ibag and Marc Laurence Balansag topped their respective divisions while Norgin Kezia Mabong and Maica Clarisse Impas captured silvers.
Degoro ruled the boys poomsae event while Albores won the kyorugi girls open weight.
Durado, for her part, lorded over her rivals in the kyorugi girls welterweight class as Dela Peña governed the kyorugi girls lightweight.
Janelle bested her kyorugi girls bantamweight rivals while Pinto prevailed in kyorugi boys lightweight.
Caminong, meanwhile, dominated the kyorugi boys light weight division as Delos Reyes won the kyorugi boys featherweight division and Ibag was unstoppable in kyorugi boys fly weight division.
The RMC taekwondo champions will advance to the Davao City Athletic Association (Dcaa) Meet slated October 15 to 20.
They will be joined by Kelly Anne Lada, Neil Heinz Sevilla and Kristin Catoc of Emar Human and Environmental College; Jillian Faye Camillo, Rafael Mamicpic, Andrei Reyes, Alexis Alcazaren, Nikko Andrei Violan and Giselle Olimba of Davao Doctor's College; and Laica Canoy, Jerpme Pajaron and Gabriel Prochina of University of Mindanao.
